(Preface:) Crack-making on day bingshen [33], Que divined: (Charge:) on the coming yisi [42], we should perform a you-ritual to [ancestor] Xia Yi, (Prognostication:) The King read the cracks and said: 'When we perform the you-ritual there will be afflictions; perhaps a natural display (thunder?).' (Verification:) On day yisi [42] the you-ritual was performed, and at daybreak it rained. During the beheading sacrifice it stopped raining. During the beheading sacrifice for Xian it also rained. An offering was made to the Mao [Star] (Pleiades) and Bird [Star] niao."
